What NOT to wear this Summer

Summer is here; it’s time to relax and look effortlessly stylish, whether you’re in the office or away on holiday.

Here’s what not to wear this season, so you feel your best and look super confident in the sunshine:

1.       Transparent fabrics – A little breeze shouldn’t mean a wardrobe malfunction!

Choose quality, breathable fabrics like linen, soft cottons, and silk that keep you cool without revealing too much. A cotton under slip is essential for transparent summer fabrics.

2.       Heavy, dark colours – Black absorbs heat and can feel too formal. Embrace lighter, brighter colours that flatter your skin tone and lift your mood. Learn about Colour Analysis here: https://calendly.com/potentialu/colour-analysis-60mins

 3.       Uncomfortable shoes – Holidays often involve a lot of walking. Ditch painful heels or uncomfortable shoes. Invest in stylish, supportive flats or elegant block heels that work for sightseeing and exploring. You only need one pair of “just in case” comfortable heels for evening dinners.

4.       Old, beach cover-ups – If it’s faded or fraying, it’s time for an upgrade. A fabulous kaftan, colourful sarong, or light shirt instantly elevates your style and looks uber chic by the pool or ocean.

5.       Tired swimwear – Faded colours and sagging straps don’t flatter your body shape. Invest in a swimsuit or bikini that fits you well right now. Think structure, support, and colour that lights you up and flatters you well.

 6.       Black leather bags – Swap your dark colour leather bags for lighter colours like: white, stone and beige. Go for raffia, wicker and straw bags on casual days and when you are on holiday.

7.       Fabrics – Steer clear of wearing velvet, suede, wool, and tweed in the sunshine. We have Autumn/Fall/Winter season coming soon.

Summer is meant to be easy.

Choose versatile, quality pieces you love—so you can spend less time stressing about what to wear and more time enjoying sunsets, great company, and your well-earned break.

You deserve to feel and look amazing, wherever you are this summer.

Enjoy yourself.
